Performed routine water heater maintenance at 145 Maple Avenue. Unit is a 40-gal Rheem, approx. 6 years old. Flushed tank to remove sediment build-up which was moderate. Checked anode rod - showing wear but still functional, recommend replacement within next 12-18 months. Tested pressure relief valve, operating properly. Inspected gas connection and venting - all secure and within specifications. Reviewed maintenance schedule with homeowner.

Arrived at Sykesville property at 8:30 AM to replace a failed 40-gallon electric water heater. The previous unit had extensive corrosion at the bottom element and exhibited signs of leakage. I installed a new Rheem Performance Plus 50-gallon unit with higher energy efficiency rating as requested by customer. Installation required modifications to existing plumbing configuration to accommodate the larger capacity unit, including adjusting the supply lines and drain pan setup. All connections were properly soldered and pressure tested. Installed new shutoff valves and expansion tank to meet current code requirements. Old unit was properly removed and will be recycled according to county regulations. Customer was provided with operational instructions and maintenance schedule. Service was completed by 1:15 PM. Verification of hot water production confirmed successful installation with appropriate temperature output.

I was called to a home in the suburbs to unclog a utility sink drain in the basement. The drain was completely clogged with a large amount of hair and grease. I used a plumbing snake to break up the clog and then flushed the drain with a powerful water jet. The drain was cleared and the homeowner was very happy with the service.
